Kevin Barber
Kevin has 32 years experience in the Telecoms and IT related industries. Kevin is an Access Network specialist, has managed Customer Service Operations teams with a key focus upon improving Field Effectiveness with Quality (FEQ).
Kevin was part of the BTUK national project team that was responsible for the introduction of quality assurance within the BT UK Access Network, a key requirement ahead of NGA and FTTc deployment. Experienced consultant for BT working with other Telco operators that require quality standards and audit processes within their field operations.
Kevin is an experienced Customer Service Engineering professional with with sound organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure and is able to manage complex and multiple projects.
Kevin has gained wide project management experience and has led on a number of key BT UK Customer Service Engineering transformation projects.
As a BT UK Regional Project Manager for Field Effectiveness with Quality (FEQ) Kevin was part of the national implementation team working with external consultants including CAP Gemini and Price Waterhouse Coopers advising on field engineering practices and developing quality standards and quality task times.
Kevin has wide management experience including senior management responsibility for field operations and control within the BT UK Customer Service Engineering organisation.
Kevin adopts a hands-on approach to all that he does by maintaining his knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development. Most recently Kevin undertook a two week BT Openreach accredited training course, and in 2016 he achieved a City and Guilds qualification in internal and external fibre optic cabling and testing, to ensure that his knowledge of customer service engineering working practices are current and up to date.
Kevin prides himself on being able to identify opportunities for improvement, enjoys being part of a team and is always focussed upon delivering results.
